A black screen on your TVIP X2 (605) box usually indicates a connectivity issue between the set-top box and your TV or a temporary system glitch. Don’t worry — this problem is common and often easy to resolve.
Follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
Step 1: Check if the Box is in Standby Mode
- Your box may be in sleep/standby mode, causing the screen to appear black.
- Press the Power button on your TVIP remote to wake the device.
Step 2: Check HDMI Connection
Ensure the HDMI cable is securely connected to both:
- The TVIP X2 (605) box
- Your TV’s HDMI port
- A loose HDMI cable is a common cause of black screen issues.
Step 3: Reinsert the HDMI Cable
- Unplug the HDMI cable from both ends
- Firmly plug it back in
- Double-check that you're using the correct HDMI input source on your TV (switch input/source with your TV remote if necessary)
Step 4: Reboot the Set-Top Box
- Unplug the TVIP X2 (605) from the power source
- Wait for 30 seconds
- Plug it back in and power it on
- This resets the system and can clear out temporary display or loading errors.
Step 5: Still Seeing a Black Screen?
If the screen remains black after trying all the above:
- Try using a different HDMI port on your TV
- Try a different HDMI cable, if available
- Connect your TVIP box to a different TV, if possible, to isolate whether the issue lies with the box or the TV
