TVIP X2 (605) Service is Looping

Looping—where a channel or video restarts repeatedly—can occur on some or all live IPTV channels or Video-on-Demand (VOD) content. This is a common issue with unstable IPTV services, and it can seriously affect your viewing experience. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot and resolve the looping problems on your TVIP X2 (605) set-top box.

Step 1: Restart Devices

Restart both the TVIP X2 (605) and your internet router:

  • Unplug the TVIP box and router from power.
  • Wait for 30 seconds.
  • Plug both back in and turn them on.
  • This can resolve temporary glitches and re-establish stable connectivity.

Step 2: Check Your Internet Speed

Looping is often a symptom of insufficient or unstable bandwidth.

How to test speed on your TVIP X2 (605):

  • Press the gear icon on your remote to open Settings.
  • Navigate to “Browser” using the arrow keys.
  • In the browser, type fast.com and press Enter.
  • A minimum download speed of 10 Mbps is recommended for HD streaming.

If the result is below 10 Mbps, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to:

  • Troubleshoot slow speed issues
  • Upgrade your internet plan if needed
  • Ensure you are receiving consistent service

Step 3: Review Connection Type

A wired Ethernet connection offers more stability than Wi-Fi and helps prevent issues like looping and buffering.

If using Wi-Fi, check for:

  • Weak signals due to distance
  • Interference from other devices
  • Consider switching to Ethernet by directly connecting your box to the router

Step 4: Contact IPTV Provider or Support

If:

  • Restarting devices didn’t help
  • Internet speed is stable
  • You’re still facing looping issues
  • The problem could be from the IPTV service side (server or stream source issue).

What to do:

  • Contact your IPTV service provider and ask if looping is a known issue.
  • Ensure your portal URL is correct and active in the TVIP settings.
